Aiight Delight

May 31, 2006

We ended up in Little Tokyo for dinner. That one Katsu Don spot on 6th with Kris and Chris. Or is it 3rd. The usual chicken and egg bowl didn't take too long. Stopped next door after ordering, this retro Asian kid was pumping up the wackest member of Stonesthrow - Percy P and some event next weekend he's supposed to DJ for. I come outside and see the parking lady standing behind my truck. I knew I had enough money in the meter, come to find out she got me for no front plate and thats a cool $25. From there we went to Sunset and Alvarado to pick up a credenza for the craiglist junkie - Mr. "I think I know 50's furniture."

I swear if I ever have to fly again it won't be on Southwest. The little money you save isn't worth the longer than average flight times, off track stops in random cities, salted peanuts, half sodas and ugly stewardesses. It took 8 hours to get from Rhode Island to Los Angeles. I sat in the first row which made the trip a bit easier.

Over the weekend, the entire family headed to Rhode Island for my little sisters graduation from Brown University Medical School. There was the usual tension between moms and pops' side of the family but luckily no confrontations this time. Moms side sat upstairs and pops side sat downstairs at the ceremony. When we went to eat afterwards, there still wasn't much mingling which made my two sisters and I bit uncomfortable at first, it turned out for the better afterwards. Suprisingly, Uncle Larry even made it out. Its crazy to see how large the family has grown as everyone in my generation is already married with kids minus Carlie and myself.
But thats alright!

I extended my vacation an extra day to play golf yesterday with the crew. I hadn't seen the fellas in a while - Brandon, Eddie B and Dan-O. I was a monster off the tee! My fellow Justice League associate couldn't catch me. 36 holes and not one drive past me, c'mon B what happened? The excuses went from sleep deprivation to a whippy shaft to too much sun! It was great, I had a nice time and I'm paying for it today in being sore.
